How to read this data
These figures reflect what companies publicly offer when hiring in Spain today — not employee surveys. That has two practical consequences: first, they are offer ranges (what you can negotiate when joining), not averages of people already years into the role; second, sectors where advertising pay is more common (tech, international remote) weigh more in the sample.
Use them as a negotiation baseline: if an offer sits below the 25th percentile for its role, you have data to ask for more. And if you are switching fields, the "% remote" column tells you which roles you can do from anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the Spain salary figures come from?
Only from real, active job listings that advertise a salary range. We don't use surveys or estimates: if a listing doesn't publish pay, it's excluded. That's why we always show the sample size.
Why are salaries annualized?
Listings advertise pay over different periods (hourly, monthly or yearly). To compare them, everything is converted to a yearly equivalent: monthly pay ×12 and hourly pay ×2080 (40 hours × 52 weeks).
What does the median mean?
It is the middle value: half of the listings pay less and half pay more. It is more reliable than the average because a few very high or very low salaries cannot distort it.
How often is this data updated?
Daily. New listings are ingested every day and listings older than 30 days are removed from the calculation, so the guide reflects the current market rather than historical data.
